OREM, Utah–Engineers can be a pleasant, friendly lot… until it comes to cars. No sooner had we set foot inside of Computrol, an EMS provider here, than the gauntlet was thrown down.
We've seen this movie before, in Pewaukee, Wisc., when Harry Roos thought he could throw down on us with his Prius; or Tempe, Ariz., when the Volt went head to head with an electric bicycle.
Here, it didn't seem to matter that it wasn't a fair match. Winning seemed to be the ONLY thing these guys cared about.
The red Volt had to drag against not one but three cars. Internal-combustion-engine cars.
Sigh.
